Before activating an Oura Ring and Oura Membership, make sure the Oura App can run on your device.
The Oura App is supported on iOS devices running Apple iOS 16 and higher, or Android devices running Android 10 and higher with Google Play services. Your device must support Bluetooth 4.0.
Please ensure your mobile device has a stable internet connection. The ring must remain on the charger for the entire duration of pairing and account setup.

Troubleshooting Oura Membership Setup
If you have an Oura Membership through your organization, but are being prompted to enter payment information, try the following steps:
Ask your organization for the contracted Oura Membership start date
The Oura App won’t recognize your organization’s Oura Membership if you connect an Oura Ring before the contracted Oura Membership start date.
You have the option to enter your payment information. Once the contract begins, your payment method will be automatically removed from their account.
You can also wait until the contracted start date to connect an Oura Ring.
Check that your device is correctly paired with your Oura Ring
If Bluetooth pairing fails to connect to your Oura Ring, the Oura App will not recognize your organization’s Oura Membership, and prompt you to provide payment information.
If you experience Bluetooth pairing issues, follow these steps to resolve the pairing failure:
- Remove the Oura Ring from your device’s Bluetooth settings
- Uninstall the Oura App
- Reinstall the Oura App from the Apple app store or Google Play App Store
- While in the Oura App, wait for the app to prompt you to connect the ring to Bluetooth and keep it on the charger connected
- Go through the setup steps while the ring remains on the charger
If the Bluetooth pairing continues to fail, the Oura App will prompt you to enter payment information to complete account setup.
Your organization’s Oura Membership will be applied once you successfully pair your Oura Ring and device. You will not be charged for your Oura Membership.
